Preply, a unicorn edtech company that recently raised $150M in Series D funding, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join its Business & Strategy Analytics team. The role focuses on transforming data into strategic insights that empower leadership decision-making, support fundraising activities, and guide the company's journey toward IPO.
You will partner closely with the Director of FP&A, CFO, and senior stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Operations, and Data to deliver executive-ready analyses and presentations. Key responsibilities include building forecasting models, scenario analyses, and driver-based models to evaluate strategic decisions; conducting deep dives into business performance to uncover growth opportunities and operational improvements; and establishing a trusted, consistent view of business performance across the organization.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in business analytics, growth analytics, or financial analytics, with strong SQL skills and the ability to work independently with large, complex datasets. You should excel at translating ambiguous business questions into actionable recommendations, with proven experience leading cross-functional analytical initiatives from problem definition through implementation. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling, data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI), and familiarity with AI tools are essential. Nice-to-have experience includes work at fast-growing tech companies, SaaS, or marketplaces; background in strategy consulting, investment banking, or venture capital; and knowledge of key marketplace metrics (LTV, CAC, payback period, retention, ARPU).
You'll influence VP and C-level stakeholders through data storytelling, own high-impact analytical initiatives spanning multiple functions, and directly contribute to company performance and long-term success.
