The company helps leading organizations with fraud detection, identity verification, and clean energy optimization by providing high-performance, developer-friendly ML infrastructure. As Senior Data Analyst, you will build the trusted data foundation that powers Chalk's business operations. This is a hands-on role reporting to leadership and partnering closely with Revenue, Finance, Product, Engineering, and executive teams. Key responsibilities include: - Design and build production-grade data models unifying CRM, contracts, billing, finance, and product telemetry into a single source of truth. - Define comprehensive GTM metrics spanning pipeline, conversion, bookings, ARR, forecast accuracy, retention, and expansion. - Create finance and billing reporting that reconciles contracts, usage, invoices, payments, credits, and general ledger entries. - Establish product metrics for activation, adoption, engagement, retention, and time-to-value. - Connect product usage data to commercial outcomes, customer health, infrastructure costs, and gross margin. - Automate recurring reporting workflows and replace spreadsheet-heavy processes with reliable self-service data products. - Partner with Product and Engineering teams to improve data instrumentation and define success metrics for new feature launches. - Establish testing, documentation, lineage, and data-quality standards for business-critical datasets. You bring 4+ years of analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or related experience. You have advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience building modular, tested data models using dbt or equivalent frameworks. Python proficiency is ideal. You have proven experience with B2B SaaS GTM data, billing/finance workflows, and product-event analytics. You excel at reconciling inconsistent systems, creating trusted metric definitions, and communicating complex data insights. You thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and own problems end-to-end. The role is in-office in San Francisco, 5 days per week, with flexibility for unavoidable conflicts.
