As Senior Data Analyst, you will own analytics delivery across the organization, split between two key areas: (1) designing and maintaining canonical data models in the warehouse, building dashboards and monitoring for specific business domains like reconciliation, remittances, and risk; and (2) advancing the data platform and infrastructure to enable trusted AI outcomes, including expanding warehouse context, building semantic layers, and driving toward an AI-native warehouse.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining dbt models and metric definitions that serve as the single source of truth across the business; constructing semantic layers that enable AI agents and stakeholders to use data reliably; owning measurement, reporting, and analysis end-to-end for specific domains; partnering with Product, Growth, Risk, and Finance teams on high-stakes analytical questions; building self-serve dashboards in Hex; and communicating data-driven findings clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams and join a 40-person team based in New York, many from leading fintech companies like Brex, Nubank, Cruise, and Verkada. The role requires strong technical skills in SQL, Python, dbt, and BI tools, plus 3+ years of experience in data analytics or analytics engineering with direct domain ownership. Financial services experience (payments, banking, lending) and familiarity with reconciliation and settlement concepts are required. Demonstrated use of AI tools in analytics workflows is expected. Nice-to-have skills include regulated financial product experience, fraud/risk analytics, credit modeling, reverse-ETL tools, orchestration tools, and semantic layer experience for LLM/agent querying.
