Brightline is a virtual behavioral and mental health care platform serving families. This senior individual contributor role embeds you as the analytics point of contact for one of Brightline's business units, owning a full portfolio of stakeholder needs and business-critical analytics work.
You will move beyond reporting to translate data into actionable recommendations that shape real business decisions. You'll partner directly with data leadership to engineer and mature your portfolio's analytics stack, identify technical debt before it compounds, and serve as the trusted advisor stakeholders turn to for understanding not just what happened, but why it matters.
Key responsibilities include:
**Analytics Portfolio Alignment**: Act as the primary analytics contact for your business unit, supporting a portfolio of stakeholders. Partner with data leadership to identify opportunities for solving recurring problems and maturing the analytics stack. Surface technical debt proactively and coordinate scoping and prioritization with leadership.
**Data Governance**: Define metrics and operational levers that support KPIs. Scope the impact of engineering changes on data quality. Maintain HIPAA compliance and proactively surface compliance risks. Interface with Engineering and Marketing Operations to create technical requirements for tracking.
**Analytics Engineering & Data Architecture**: Design and develop contributions to the analytics layer using dbt and Claude Code. Translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements using frameworks like UML. Maintain the dbt Semantic Layer as a single source of truth for metrics. Provide code review and troubleshoot independently.
**Insight Development**: Identify business issues using data acumen and healthcare industry experience. Present insights through data storytelling. Develop effective visualizations that communicate impact.
**Business Intelligence**: Build and maintain high-quality dashboards. Answer ad hoc questions using SQL. Support data engineering in designing pipeline features. Stay current on AI technologies in healthcare and data analytics.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Connect with key stakeholders to understand needs and influence strategy.
You'll need 7–10 years in data analytics, data engineering, or highly analytical roles, with previous healthcare industry experience or a track record in senior analytics roles. Expert SQL and modern BI platforms (Tableau) required. Familiarity with data architecture principles and technical communication frameworks (UML) expected. Strong ability to write accessible technical documentation and excitement to adopt new AI tools to accelerate insights.
