Rubrik seeks a Senior Customer Advocacy Manager to own two interconnected programs: the customer story program and the CXO Visionaries program. This role sits at the intersection of technology, storytelling, and enterprise customer engagement, operating within the CXO Transformation team outside of marketing but embedded in Rubrik's most senior customer relationships.
You will identify the right customers, lead discovery conversations, and translate complex data security and cyber resilience outcomes into narratives that resonate at the board and C-suite level. You own the CXO Visionaries program—Rubrik's exclusive, invitation-only community for Fortune 500 and Global 2000 CIOs, CISOs, and CTOs—running the full program from member recruitment and profile development to speaking engagements, award recognition, and executive thought leadership opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
**Customer Discovery and Story Development:** Build and manage a pipeline of customer story candidates across key verticals, use cases, and geographies in partnership with sales, customer success, and product teams. Lead discovery conversations that surface real operational impact—what threats looked like, what recovery required, and what changed afterward. Write and produce narratives across formats including written stories, video briefs, executive one-pagers, and event-ready abstracts.
**CXO Visionaries Program:** Own the program end-to-end, developing and producing Visionary profiles that showcase member success and amplify their brand. Design and manage the award program, oversee the monthly newsletter spotlight feature, identify and recruit new members, and connect them with keynote and earned media opportunities at marquee CXO forums. Coordinate with Rubrik Zero Labs to ensure members receive exclusive access to cutting-edge threat intelligence.
**Technical Depth:** Develop command of Rubrik's platform and the cyber resilience landscape to ask informed questions in customer interviews and evaluate outcome claims. Work closely with product and Zero Labs teams to ensure stories are technically grounded and reflect correct platform capabilities. Identify patterns across stories that surface real insight about repeatable outcomes.
**Program Management:** Build and maintain scalable tracking systems so customer story and Visionary information is current and accessible. Own the intake, production, review, and approval workflow from first conversation through published asset. Manage the customer story process for quarterly earnings. Define and enforce quality standards. Track story usage and impact across sales, events, PR, and executive engagements to prioritize production.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner with PR and communications to surface stories for media placement, bylines, and thought leadership. Work with field and sales teams to match stories to conversations. Support the Transformation team's thought leadership with grounded proof points and coordinated social content. Partner with cloud and ecosystem alliance teams on co-marketing stories. Coordinate CXO speaker sourcing and logistics for Rubrik events. Collaborate with the EBC team to integrate stories into executive briefing experiences.
**Vendor Management:** Manage external production partners including writers, videographers, and agencies. Establish clear briefs, timelines, and quality reviews to maintain consistent output at scale.
**Requirements:**
- 12+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, technical marketing, technical content strategy, or closely adjacent field, with direct ownership of a customer story, reference, or executive community program
- Solid background in data protection, cybersecurity, data infrastructure, cyber resilience, backup, AI, or similar
- Technical fluency sufficient to hold substantive conversations with a CISO or IT leader about ransomware recovery, identity resilience, or hybrid cloud data protection, and to recognize when outcome claims do not hold up
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly and specifically about complex technical topics for a senior business audience, without relying on jargon or category clichés
- Strong interviewing instincts: ability to draw out a real story rather than a polished testimonial
- Experience working in or closely alongside enterprise sales environments, with practical understanding of how customer proof points factor into deals and executive conversations
**Preferred Experience:**
- Experience managing executive community, customer advisory, or peer network program
- Experience at a company that navigated rapid scale or a major platform transition
