Purple Dot is a pre-commerce platform helping e-commerce brands sell inventory before it arrives at the warehouse, reducing waste and inventory risk. The company works with over 100 leading brands including Mattel, Timex, and New Era, processing millions in pre-orders monthly. Backed by top-tier investors like OpenOcean and Unusual Ventures, Purple Dot is a 22-person team led by second-time founders with an acquisition track record. As Senior Customer Success Manager, you will own a portfolio of strategic accounts where Purple Dot is already deeply embedded in the customer's business. Your primary responsibility is protecting and deepening these relationships with sophisticated brands that have real leverage and high expectations. A smaller portion of your portfolio will consist of larger accounts with significant growth potential, where you'll expand Purple Dot's footprint and build trust for a broader partnership. You will operate as a trusted, senior-level strategic partner capable of engaging with C-suite executives and VPs as peers. Key responsibilities include: - Managing a portfolio weighted toward deeply-penetrated accounts with select larger, less-penetrated accounts for expansion - Building and maintaining senior-level relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers - Conducting regular business reviews that surface risks, wins, and partnership evolution opportunities - Proactively identifying and mitigating churn risk by reading account signals early - Handling escalations directly and confidently, coordinating cross-functionally to resolve issues and protect trust - Translating customer feedback into product insights, identifying problems worth investing in for the engineering team The role requires someone who can read the room, know when to defend existing positions versus expand partnerships, and operate with confidence at the executive level. REQUIREMENTS: The posting does not explicitly state years of experience, education, or specific certifications required. However, the role implicitly requires demonstrated ability to manage complex, strategic B2B relationships at the executive level, comfort with sophisticated customers who push back, and experience translating customer needs into product strategy.
