Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Customer Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team of Customer Engineers serving enterprise clients across Texas. You will report to Regional Sales Leadership and own the technical go-to-market strategy, platform adoption, and measurable business outcomes for your team's account portfolio.
Key responsibilities include recruiting and developing a team of quota-carrying Customer Engineers; partnering with sales leadership to align technical resources with pipeline opportunities and drive revenue growth; overseeing technical health, onboarding, and long-term platform adoption across accounts; managing team performance against variable quotas and SaaS adoption metrics; championing AI-augmented workflows and automation to reduce administrative friction; and serving as a strategic bridge between field teams and Product, Engineering, and Customer Success organizations.
You will be responsible for complex architectural escalations, customer risk mitigation, and translating Cloudflare's capabilities into executive business ROI. The role requires deep familiarity with enterprise SaaS sales cycles, value realization strategies, and the ability to interface with C-level stakeholders.
Required experience: 5+ years managing or leading customer-facing technical teams (Customer Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering). Strong technical background in web security, networking protocols (DNS, routing, DDoS mitigation), cloud infrastructure, and enterprise SaaS architecture. Proven success in revenue-aligned or quota-carrying organizations with operational discipline using telemetry and health metrics to drive performance. Exceptional executive presence and communication skills.
