Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Customer Engineer for the South China region (Beijing-based) to serve as a trusted technical advisor and quota-carrying technologist throughout the entire customer lifecycle. You will partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, design bespoke architectures, and deliver compelling product demonstrations and Proof of Concepts across Cloudflare's Security, Networking, Zero Trust, and Developer Platforms.
Key responsibilities include owning the technical relationship from initial onboarding through maturity and expansion, maintaining deep relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring continuous alignment between customer business goals and product roadmap. You will carry a variable quota tied to new business acquisition and account growth, with commercial accountability for platform adoption, revenue retention, and identifying cross-sell/up-sell opportunities. You will lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews to translate platform capabilities into ROI for C-level executives.
The role emphasizes AI-augmented workflows, leveraging AI agents and internal platforms to automate routine tasks like RFP responses, sandbox provisioning, and telemetry monitoring, freeing your time for strategic customer advisory work.
Required qualifications include experience in customer-facing technical roles (Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineer), broad technical expertise spanning web security, networking (routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation), cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture. You must demonstrate a commercial mindset with proven track record in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environments, understanding of SaaS metrics and enterprise sales cycles, and exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Strongly preferred: hands-on experience with Cloudflare's developer platform, Workers AI, and AI Gateway.
