Elliptic is seeking a Senior Crypto Threat Analyst to lead counter-terrorism financing (CTF) intelligence research and investigations. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert on terrorist actors' use of cryptoassets, conducting complex investigations into terrorist organizations, facilitators, propaganda ecosystems, and operational support networks. You will identify emerging CTF typologies and trends, ensuring Elliptic's intelligence dataset reflects the full spectrum of terrorist actors leveraging crypto.
Key responsibilities include: leading CTF-focused research and investigations into cryptoasset activity linked to terrorist entities; building and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of evolving CTF trends across multiple jurisdictions and designation regimes (UN, US, UK, EU); collaborating with the global intelligence team to integrate new entities, wallet clusters, and illicit behaviors into Elliptic's dataset; representing CTF intelligence capabilities in client briefings, training sessions, and industry forums; and supporting public-sector partners with intelligence to disrupt facilitation networks.
You will translate complex findings into actionable intelligence outputs that help financial institutions and governments strengthen controls and manage risk. Your work directly enhances Elliptic's industry-leading intelligence capabilities and reinforces its reputation as a trusted authority in crypto and financial intelligence.
Ideal candidates bring deep experience in intelligence analysis, OSINT research, financial crime investigation, or related fields with proven expertise in counter-terrorism financing. You should be comfortable with high autonomy, skilled at uncovering hidden patterns, and capable of navigating multiple languages and jurisdictions. Technical proficiency with cryptoassets, blockchain analysis tools, Python, SQL, or AI-assisted querying is essential. AI fluency is critical—you must demonstrate ability to apply AI tools for research acceleration, pattern identification, OSINT processing, and written output drafting. Strong analytical judgment, clear communication for both technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborative global teamwork are essential.
Within six months, you will contribute new entities and wallet clusters to the intelligence dataset, convert investigative findings into scalable outputs like detection logic, and represent Elliptic's CTF expertise directly with customers and public-sector partners.
