Salary: USD 200,000 - 300,000 / annual
Suno is seeking a Senior Counsel for Product to join its Product Legal team and support the product organization as it innovates on its roadmap. The role involves partnering closely with product, engineering, design, and related teams to understand the product roadmap comprehensively and provide full product life-cycle legal counseling from ideation through development, launch, and operation.
Key responsibilities include identifying and staying ahead of the evolving regulatory landscape by translating uncertainty into practical business guidance. You will develop expertise across intellectual property, AI, copyright, music, content safety, privacy, data protection, security, and advertising—critical areas for a music creation platform powered by AI. You will also develop and implement scaled legal processes to support the company's growth trajectory.
The ideal candidate has a JD and active US state bar membership, with 8+ years of experience including substantial in-house tech product experience. Ideally, you will have some background in copyright and music law. You should have strong business acumen, the ability to partner effectively with business and technical teams, and clear communication skills across diverse audiences. A hands-on, low-ego approach, collaborative attitude, comfort with fast-paced change, high integrity, and intellectual curiosity are essential.
