Rad AI is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join its legal team and serve as a key strategic advisor across the organization. The company is a venture-backed healthcare AI platform founded by a radiologist, with over $140M in funding and a $528M valuation. Rad AI's AI-driven solutions are used by thousands of radiologists daily, supporting more than one-third of radiology groups and healthcare systems and nearly 50% of all medical imaging in the U.S.
In this high-visibility role, you will provide strategic legal guidance to product, engineering, and commercial teams as Rad AI scales its innovative AI solutions for healthcare providers globally. You will serve as trusted counsel across multiple functions, collaborating closely with senior leadership to advance the company's mission while maintaining rigorous compliance and ethical standards.
Key responsibilities include: negotiating commercial contracts with healthcare providers; developing efficient sales processes that balance legal rigor with deal velocity; designing and implementing a comprehensive privacy program ensuring HIPAA compliance and proper Business Associate Agreements; building scalable legal processes and infrastructure to support rapid growth; and monitoring emerging regulatory and policy trends in generative AI to keep Rad AI at the forefront of compliance.
You will play a central role in protecting relationships with healthcare partners, safeguarding intellectual property, and building lasting trust with physicians, executives, and key stakeholders. Your legal insights will help accelerate product deployment, strengthen physician collaboration, and reinforce critical partnerships.
Required qualifications: minimum 5 years of legal experience with at least 2 years negotiating commercial contracts and tech transactions (ideally B2B SaaS); JD from ABA-accredited institution with active bar membership in at least one U.S. state; background in healthcare technology or AI demonstrating deep understanding of sector-specific legal challenges; proven ability to navigate ambiguity and shape legal strategy in emerging fields; strong cross-functional relationship-building skills with adaptable communication; demonstrated proactivity in professional development and taking on challenging initiatives.
