Veeam Software, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join its Legal team in Bucharest, Romania. This role focuses on Procurement Legal matters and will support a high-volume, fast-paced procurement contracts function working alongside another Senior Contracts Manager to ensure consistent legal review, efficient contract flow, and clear risk positioning.
You will serve as a trusted Procurement Legal partner to Procurement, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, Data Privacy, IT, Security, and other business stakeholders. Your responsibilities include managing the review, redlining, drafting, and negotiation of procurement contracts across diverse categories: Technology & SaaS, Marketing Services, Events, Sponsorships, HR, Corporate and Professional Services, and other supplier-related engagements.
Key responsibilities:
- Review, redline, draft, and negotiate procurement contracts and vendor agreements
- Support Procurement governance by ensuring compliance with established review, approval, and contracting processes
- Collaborate with Procurement and business stakeholders to ensure commercial terms, service descriptions, deliverables, pricing, payment terms, SLAs, and operational requirements are properly owned and approved
- Provide clear, practical, business-oriented legal guidance, translating complex contract language into concise recommendations and risk summaries
- Maintain process discipline by ensuring legal reviews are properly routed, tracked, and documented through procurement and CLM systems
- Coordinate with Data Privacy, Compliance, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure matters are directed to appropriate functional owners
- Improve Procurement Legal processes, templates, playbooks, and clause guidance to support consistency and scalability
- Educate Procurement and business teams on when Legal review is required and how to distinguish legal terms from commercial or business terms
- Escalate material legal, financial, operational, data privacy, compliance, or business risks in a timely manner
- Provide back-up coverage and support for Procurement Legal matters to balance workload and maintain continuity
You bring advanced experience in contract management, procurement legal support, commercial contracting, or legal operations. You have strong experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating supplier, procurement, vendor, SaaS, services, marketing, events, sponsorship, and professional services agreements. You possess excellent understanding of contract structure and core legal provisions, with a pragmatic and balanced approach to risk that protects the company while supporting business priorities. You demonstrate excellent written communication skills, strong process discipline, attention to detail, and a proactive ownership mindset with the ability to anticipate issues and move matters forward independently.
