Anduril Industries, a rapidly growing defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to support its government, international, and commercial contracts and programs in Sydney. This role oversees the full contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance, minimizing risk, and optimizing contract performance across Anduril's diverse portfolio.
You will manage contracts from proposal through close-out, working closely with legal, proposal, accounting, business operations, program, and engineering teams. Key responsibilities include executing contract management throughout each contract's lifecycle, completing contract reviews and acceptance, overseeing proposal planning and management, ensuring compliance with Australian government regulations (ASDEFCON, Commonwealth Procurement Rules, Defence Security Principles Framework), and maintaining comprehensive contract documentation.
You will provide contract summaries and briefs to program managers and executives, offer contractual guidance and risk mitigation strategies, and negotiate complex terms with government agencies, prime contractors, and subcontractors. The role requires cultivating strong relationships with internal and external customers while identifying and implementing new contract policies and processes.
Required qualifications include 6+ years of relevant contract management experience, a Bachelor's degree in business administration, government, or related field, and strong working knowledge of Australian Government contracting frameworks. You must have experience with full lifecycle contract management, excellent communication skills, exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, Australian citizenship, and the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include direct experience with major Australian defence primes, professional certifications (IACCM/World Commerce & Contracting, CPCM), a graduate degree, and knowledge of AUKUS initiatives and Australia-US-UK defence collaboration frameworks.
