You'll serve as Senior Commercial Counsel, reporting to the Head of Commercial Legal. This is a hands-on role focused on deal-making and contract negotiation that directly supports sales and procurement growth. You'll draft and negotiate SaaS agreements, strategic partnerships, data processing agreements, and enterprise contracts with large customers and suppliers.
Key responsibilities include: reviewing and negotiating inbound/outbound commercial contracts with enterprise customers; developing and managing contract templates and negotiation playbooks to improve sales efficiency; creating processes that benefit both legal and business functions; and enabling go-to-market teams with practical legal guidance.
You'll work in a fast-paced environment where legal complexity is translated into business clarity. The role requires comfort with tight end-of-quarter and end-of-year deadlines, multi-tasking, and prioritization. You'll be expected to be a self-starter who identifies opportunities to add value and acts as a business partner rather than a roadblock.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years negotiating commercial contracts, preferably at a SaaS company or tech-focused law firm. Experience contracting with large enterprises in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, insurance) is highly valued. Familiarity with privacy, IP, and AI-specific legal issues is a plus. You should be comfortable with contract management tools (Asana, Salesforce, Linksquares) and legal operations platforms. Above all, you're a business person who happens to be a lawyer—someone who can explain complex concepts simply, work efficiently under pressure, and maintain a collaborative, low-ego approach.
