Glydways is reimagining public transit through a groundbreaking network of carbon-neutral, autonomous vehicles on dedicated roadways. The company is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to build and lead the commercial division of the legal department during a critical growth phase.
In this highly visible role, you will serve as both strategic architect and day-to-day executor, owning the legal infrastructure for the company's commercial and supply chain operations. Key responsibilities include:
• Develop preferred legal structures, strategies, and form agreements for the commercial (Projects & Supply Chain) business division
• Structure, finance, and deliver commercial projects, including SPV documents, loan agreements, security packages, IP licensing agreements, and EPC agreements
• Own the legal aspects of global procurement, including master services agreements, purchase orders, and warehousing agreements
• Partner with the sales team to win new projects, including drafting RFP responses
• Collaborate with regulatory teams to ensure commercial operations remain compliant with applicable laws
• Manage outside counsel relationships to control costs
You will need 6+ years of BigLaw and/or in-house legal experience with deep expertise in project financing and complex infrastructure project implementation. Commercial procurement experience for infrastructure projects is essential. You must hold a JD from an accredited law school and maintain an active US law license in good standing.
Bonus qualifications include Chambers-ranked Projects/Infrastructure practice experience, international project experience (Middle East or APAC), startup background, FOAK (first-of-a-kind) project experience, and expertise in IP licensing structures and technology-related legal matters.
This is a fully remote position available anywhere in the United States, with the team primarily operating on West Coast time. The role offers meaningful equity, rapid advancement potential, and the opportunity to do consequential legal work at a high-growth late-stage startup.
