Delinea is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to serve as the primary legal business partner to the strategic and enterprise account sales teams. This is a hands-on, global SaaS and software transactions role operating in a fast-paced, high-volume cybersecurity technology environment.
You will partner with Delinea business teams, including senior executives, and external counsel to negotiate, draft, and strategically counsel stakeholders on a wide range of global commercial agreements with a focus on sales and go-to-market initiatives. Key responsibilities include researching and advising on global commercial transaction-related privacy and regulatory matters, collaborating across cross-functional teams to resolve issues and incorporate input into contracts and related documentation, and preparing and improving template agreements to efficiently meet business objectives in a risk-balanced manner.
Additional duties include supporting M&A activities, developing and presenting training to various personnel, driving awareness of legal compliance and risk management guidelines, and supporting the development of Delinea's contracting processes and procedures. Some travel may be required for transactions and team/company meetings.
You will report to the VP & General Counsel, Commercial, and work in a collaborative, positive, and results-oriented legal team. The ideal candidate is comfortable with rapid growth, navigates ambiguity effectively, and employs top-notch problem-solving skills while balancing pragmatic solutions with appropriate legal and operational risk management. You must confidently manage internal and external expectations, relationships, and customer negotiations, and have highly developed people skills.
