Upgrade is a fintech company providing affordable and responsible consumer credit. The Collections team protects portfolio performance while ensuring fair borrower treatment throughout recovery. As Senior Collections Strategy Analyst, you will own analytics and strategy driving performance across post-charge-off and pre-charge-off recovery operations. This is a highly visible individual-contributor role for someone analytically rigorous, comfortable owning ambiguous problems end-to-end, and energized by building strategy and infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include: building a holistic analytics framework spanning debt sale, third-party agency outsourcing, and debt settlement company (DSC) settlements; designing, testing, and maintaining dialer strategy for pre-charge-off delinquent accounts including contact cadence, prioritization logic, and channel sequencing; bringing a test-and-learn mindset to strategy development and structuring dialer experiments to optimize based on results; building and maintaining quarterly business review decks for third-party collection agencies with KPIs and reporting cadence; owning and evolving digital communication strategy across email, SMS, and AI voice agent channels while balancing performance with borrower experience and compliance; tracking, analyzing, and reporting on settlement performance with DSCs including acceptance rates, recovery yield, and portfolio trends.
You will build reporting infrastructure, testing frameworks, and cross-functional partnerships needed to manage third-party agencies, dialer strategy, digital communications, and hardship programs. This role requires strong analytical rigor, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to drive strategy where infrastructure is nascent.
