Deliveroo is seeking a Senior Client Partner to lead strategic expansion of the New Vertical segment (Grocery and Retail) in Italy. This is a people-management role combining commercial leadership with team development.
You will directly manage a team of Account Managers focused on the Grocery and Retail segment, owning commercial results and defining strategy to achieve quarterly and yearly goals alongside the New Verticals Director. Key responsibilities include leading negotiations with senior partners, collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, and Product teams to drive business results and customer experience, and mentoring team members to foster professional growth.
You'll lead quarterly planning with HQ Strategy & Finance, develop accurate forecasting and reporting, and work with the broader New Businesses leadership team on high-impact projects. The role requires close international collaboration and a balance between strategic thinking and tactical execution.
Required qualifications include at least 5 years in commercially focused roles with team management and development responsibility, direct people management experience (goal setting, performance evaluation, team development), strong analytical skills, and a track record of exceeding commercial targets. Experience in Retail, Grocery, or FMCG sectors is a plus. You should demonstrate commercial and marketing acumen, customer obsession, stakeholder management skills, and inspiring leadership that builds high-performing teams.
