Salary: EUR 137,000 - 164,500 / annual
Grafana Labs, the company behind the open observability cloud, is seeking a Senior Business Value Engineer to join their growing team. You'll play a critical role in defining, articulating, and quantifying business value across Grafana's products and services.
In this role, you will collaborate with customers to uncover growth and profitability opportunities through personalized storytelling and insights. You'll develop compelling ROI and TCO models that identify value areas driven by new products, emerging trends, and market challenges. A key responsibility is enabling pre- and post-sales teams through training, content development, and strategic support, ensuring the sales organization can effectively showcase Grafana's value proposition to customers.
You'll partner with cross-functional teams—including Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, and Observability Architects—to create unified narratives that align internal stakeholders and external messaging. This involves developing quantitative and qualitative analyses, translating complex data into compelling stories for audiences ranging from technical practitioners to C-suite executives.
The ideal candidate brings 3-5+ years of experience in value management, consulting, or engineering, with deep expertise in building business cases and ROI analyses. You should be a skilled data storyteller with the ability to communicate findings effectively across organizational levels. Cross-functional collaboration experience with GTM leaders (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance) is essential.
Bonus qualifications include 3+ years of observability platform experience (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki) and familiarity with the open-source landscape and community.
