Ascendis Pharma, a global biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Senior Business-oriented Data Analytics Engineer to join the Drug Development Data Domain team in Hellerup, Denmark. You will serve as a trusted partner to business stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making across the Drug Development domain.
In this role, you will understand business needs and translate them into scalable data solutions. You'll design and develop data products that drive measurable business value, explore and transform complex data into actionable insights, and collaborate across cross-functional global teams to build end-to-end solutions. You will ensure all data products align with data governance, compliance, and quality standards.
You will report to the People Leader in Global IT and the Global Head of Digitalization, working within a team of 4 colleagues. The role requires 5+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, with a Master's degree preferred in Data Science, Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Key technical requirements include 3+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps, Databricks, dbt, Python, and T-SQL. You must have proven experience designing and delivering solutions using Power BI or similar BI platforms, and a strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance. The ability to understand business data and processes while creating rapid prototypes is essential.

You possess an entrepreneurial spirit, thrive in informal and open environments where innovation is valued, and are proactive, collaborative, and results-oriented. Pharma domain knowledge is a plus. Travel of 10-20 days per year is expected.
