In this Senior Business Development Manager role based in Bangalore, you will own new business acquisition targeting SMB and mid-market exporters in IT/ITES and other cross-border service sectors. Your core responsibilities include building and managing a high-quality outbound pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry events. You'll engage directly with founders, CXOs, and key decision-makers, presenting compelling value propositions and converting opportunities into long-term customers.
You'll be expected to consistently exceed monthly and quarterly new customer acquisition and GMV targets, identify untapped market opportunities to shape go-to-market strategies for new segments, and represent Payoneer at industry events to generate demand and expand market presence. Success requires disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and execution of a high-velocity sales process.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience with a proven track record of net-new customer acquisition, plus 3+ years selling payments, fintech, banking, SaaS, or financial services to mid-market businesses. You should demonstrate a history of crushing outbound sales targets through proactive prospecting (not just inbound leads), opening new accounts, winning competitive deals, and influencing senior stakeholders. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with a self-driven, resilient mindset suited to fast-paced, target-driven environments.
Nice-to-have qualifications include an MBA, experience with cross-border payment solutions, familiarity with lead generation platforms (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, ZoomInfo), and experience developing new territories or launching market segments.
