Checkout.com is a global fintech platform powering over 10 billion transactions yearly for companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony. As a Senior Business Analyst – Payment Solutions, you will own the technical delivery and implementation of payment rails, card schemes, and alternative payment methods (APMs) across global markets.
You will lead technical projects with card schemes and APM partners to roll out new acquiring regions, launch new payment methods, and implement innovative payment options for merchants. This role bridges product, engineering, and operations, requiring deep understanding of payment processing complexity and the ability to translate merchant and scheme requirements into technical specifications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading technical projects with payment partners and card schemes to expand regional coverage and launch new payment methods
- Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, accounting, treasury, legal, compliance, and product teams on testing plans and provider certifications
- Interpreting payment rules and requirements from card schemes and APM providers, translating them into clear implementation specifications
- Supporting operations teams in merchant onboarding, scheme registration, clearing, and settlement processes
- Acting as a subject matter expert on payment systems, educating merchant-facing teams and internal stakeholders
- Proactively identifying and implementing innovative payment solutions while maintaining processing standards
You bring 3–5+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst or in payments processing roles within financial services, ideally working closely with engineering teams. Domain expertise in card schemes, alternative payment methods, and payments processing is highly valued. Technical proficiency with APIs, Postman, DataDog, SQL, and BI tools (Excel, Looker) is important. You are detail-oriented, analytical, and a self-starter who thrives in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or equivalent is expected. Fluency in English and excellent communication skills across all organizational levels are essential.
