Payoneer is a global fintech platform founded in 2005 that simplifies cross-border business payments and financial workflows. The company serves over 2,500 employees and customers across 190+ countries, offering solutions for global payments, compliance, multi-currency management, workforce management, working capital, and business intelligence.
In this Senior Business Development Manager role, you will own new business acquisition for SMB and mid-market exporters in IT/ITES and other cross-border service sectors. Your primary focus is building and managing a high-quality outbound pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, and sales tools. You will engage directly with founders, C-suite executives, and key decision-makers, presenting compelling value propositions and converting opportunities into long-term customers.
Key responsibilities include consistently exceeding monthly and quarterly new customer acquisition and GMV (Gross Merchandise Volume) targets, identifying untapped market opportunities to shape go-to-market strategies for new segments, and representing Payoneer at industry events to generate demand and expand market presence. You will maintain disciplined pipeline management with accurate forecasting while driving a high-velocity sales process.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience with a strong track record in net-new customer acquisition, plus 3+ years selling payments, fintech, banking, SaaS, or financial services to mid-market businesses. You must demonstrate a proven ability to crush outbound sales targets through proactive prospecting (not just inbound lead management), open new accounts, win competitive deals, and influence senior stakeholders. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with a self-driven, resilient mindset comfortable in fast-paced, target-driven environments.
Nice-to-have qualifications include an MBA, experience selling cross-border payment solutions, familiarity with lead generation platforms (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, ZoomInfo), and experience developing new territories or launching market segments.
