Airwallex is a unified payments and financial platform serving over 250,000 global businesses including Brex, Navan, Qantas, and SHEIN. The company combines proprietary infrastructure with software to deliver integrated solutions for business accounts, payments, spend management, treasury, and embedded finance at scale. Valued at $11 billion and backed by leading investors including Sequoia, Visa, Mastercard, and T. Rowe Price, Airwallex operates across 27 offices globally with over 2,300 employees. The CEO Office Strategy & Operations team partners directly with executive leadership on the company's most critical priorities. This role focuses on global market expansion across the Americas, taking new markets from strategy through launch. You will work alongside senior executives and cross-functional leaders to answer fundamental questions about market entry: where to expand, how to enter, what capabilities to build, and what risks could prevent launch. Key responsibilities include building market-entry strategies by assessing market attractiveness, customer opportunity, competitive dynamics, regulatory feasibility, and Airwallex's competitive positioning. You will design market-entry models by evaluating licensing pathways, entity structures, partnerships, and operating models in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Treasury teams. You'll translate strategy into concrete product requirements by partnering with Product and Engineering to convert regulatory and market-entry requirements into product scope and launch dependencies. You will drive cross-functional launch readiness by owning defined workstreams, identifying critical-path dependencies, surfacing blockers early, and driving issues toward resolution. You'll enable executive decision-making by synthesizing complex perspectives into clear choices and recommendations for CEO Office leadership. Additionally, you'll build the Global Expansion operating system by developing reusable frameworks, dashboards, templates, and AI-enabled tools that systematize expansion and automate regulatory research, license mapping, competitive intelligence, and risk tracking. The role extends beyond core market expansion to include strategic reviews, restructuring programs, crisis-response workstreams, and cross-market operating questions. This is a high-visibility, fast-moving environment for problem-solvers who enjoy working across disciplines and building where playbooks don't yet exist.
