Carta is seeking a Senior Associate Inbound Compliance Analyst to join its Inbound Compliance team, which manages KYC (Know Your Customer) intake and resolution for leading asset managers and private equity firms globally. This is a high-volume, client-facing role requiring accuracy, speed, and deep regulatory expertise.
In this position, you will own complex KYC engagements end-to-end, managing the full lifecycle from intake through delivery while serving as the trusted point of contact for counterparties and investors navigating multi-jurisdictional compliance. You'll exercise independent judgment on routine matters and mentor junior analysts as they develop expertise in KYC and AML frameworks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking ownership of sophisticated inbound KYC requests and managing them through completion
- Leading by example in accuracy and regulatory rigor, contributing to process and documentation standards
- Reviewing and validating KYC documentation for completeness and compliance with AML, KYC, and international frameworks across EU, UK, and US regulatory regimes
- Maintaining accurate records of all KYC requests and documentation in Carta's systems
- Resolving issues independently where appropriate and escalating strategically to senior leadership
- Monitoring evolving KYC/AML regulations globally and applying updated requirements to daily work
You bring 4+ years of hands-on AML/KYC experience with deep working knowledge of global frameworks applied to complex scenarios. You have reviewed entity structures, managed KYC refreshes, and fulfilled due diligence requests across different regulatory regimes. Experience with offshore jurisdictions (Cayman, Luxembourg) and complex legal entities is particularly valued. AML/KYC certifications (ICA, ACAMS) are strongly encouraged.
You are detail-oriented and strategically minded, catching what others miss while managing high-volume concurrent requests against tight deadlines. You're confident and client-ready, holding your own in KYC conversations with senior stakeholders. You mentor and build, supporting junior analysts and taking initiative to improve processes. You're proactive and autonomous, assessing complex situations and moving forward with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask under pressure are essential.
