Celonis is seeking a Senior Applied Value Engineer to work with strategic enterprise customers in the UKI Energy, Oil & Gas sector. In this role, you will be a technical expert who bridges Celonis' Process Intelligence platform with cutting-edge AI/ML technologies from partners like Microsoft, OpenAI, and Databricks to solve mission-critical business problems.
You will lead AI discovery and solutioning engagements, understanding customer strategy and translating business challenges into innovative Celonis-powered solutions. Key responsibilities include designing and prototyping AI solutions in customer hackathons, architecting end-to-end proof-of-value projects that integrate LLM/agent systems with enterprise data and compliance frameworks, and ensuring successful implementation and adoption until agreed value thresholds are reached.
You will specialize in specific domains (e.g., supply chain, finance) and industries to scale knowledge across the organization. Your technical depth in generative AI techniques—RAG, prompt engineering, multi-agent orchestration, fine-tuning—combined with strong business acumen will enable you to build compelling ROI/TCO cases and demonstrate value to C-suite executives.
Required qualifications: 6+ years leading technical pre-sales with AI/ML solution prototyping experience. Strong understanding of generative AI techniques and their application to real business use cases. Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (LangChain, pandas, sklearn, PyTorch). Knowledge of business processes across sectors and ability to translate business needs into AI use cases. Excellent presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences. Bachelor's degree required; Master's in computer science, engineering, or mathematics preferred.
Nice-to-have: hands-on experience building agentic systems with LLM orchestration and guardrails, familiarity with LLM ecosystem tools, experience deploying and monitoring models at scale on AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, or GCP Vertex.
