The Machine Learning / Computer Vision team builds end-to-end applications powering Samsara's product pillars. As a Senior Applied Scientist, you will generate insights and extract value from rich customer interactions and 2T+ annual data points collected from sensors and cameras.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and improving the accuracy of ML/CV models, including retraining and optimization to solve Samsara-specific problems
- Contributing to the R&D roadmap across four product categories: Video-Based Safety (key focus), Vehicle Telematics, Equipment Monitoring, and Workforce Apps/Site Visibility
- Collaborating with product managers, customer success teams, and engineers to ensure ML work translates into measurable customer outcomes
- Participating in customer interviews and leveraging metrics to validate impact
- Working on a team that values both independent effort and collaboration toward the connected operations vision
