The AI Learning team builds machine learning models and systems that power personalized learning paths, real-time feedback, and AI-enhanced tutoring experiences.
In this role, you will apply deep learning, NLP, and multimodal AI to develop scalable machine learning solutions for personalized learning and intelligent tutoring systems. You'll work on cutting-edge AI models—from conversational practice tools to AI teaching assistants—moving research from prototyping through production deployment. Your work will directly impact millions of learners globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Researching and developing deep learning and NLP solutions, with focus on LLMs and multimodal models trained on video, audio, and transcript data
- Building, optimizing, and deploying machine learning models in production environments
- Collaborating with product, engineering, and fellow scientists to translate AI research into learner-facing features
- Mentoring junior scientists and engineers, establishing ML best practices and deployment pipelines
- Driving AI initiatives end-to-end in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting
You bring a PhD in NLP, Machine Learning, or related field (or equivalent), 4+ years of industry experience with deep learning-based NLP, and strong proficiency in PyTorch or TensorFlow. You have hands-on cloud platform experience (AWS, Google Cloud), a proven track record shipping impactful AI solutions, and passion for AI-driven personalized learning. Experience with LLMs and RAG is a plus.
