Coinbase is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the GFCO Analytics Engineering team, building data foundations that power customer experience and compliance operations. You will own end-to-end data pipelines, develop trusted metrics, and enable CX stakeholders to make faster, better decisions with clean, reliable data. Key responsibilities include: - Design, build, and maintain data models and pipelines supporting CX operations, compliance reporting, and customer insights, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and documentation. - Partner with CX Operations, Compliance, and Product teams to translate business needs into data requirements and deliver self-serve analytics solutions. - Build and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools providing visibility into performance, customer trends, and compliance health. - Drive data quality and governance within the CX data domain through testing, monitoring, and documentation standards. - Identify opportunities to automate recurring data workflows and reporting, shifting from reactive requests to scalable, self-serve solutions. - Collaborate with broader Data Engineering and Analytics teams on best practices and Coinbase's data infrastructure. Required experience: - 5+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering with hands-on ownership of production data pipelines and dimensional data models (star/snowflake schemas) in dbt and Snowflake or similar platforms. - Proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation, pipeline orchestration (Airflow or similar), and building version-controlled data products. - Demonstrated success building dashboards and self-serve analytics in BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar) that reduced stakeholder dependency on ad-hoc requests. - Experience partnering with operations, customer experience, or compliance teams to define metrics, SLAs, and reporting frameworks tied to business outcomes. - Familiarity with compliance or regulatory data domains (AML, transaction monitoring, case handling) in financial services or fintech. - Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs. Coinbase is a remote-first company with quarterly in-person working sessions called "surges." The role offers competitive compensation, equity, bonus eligibility, and comprehensive benefits.
