Form Energy is a climate technology company developing long-duration iron-air battery systems for grid-scale energy storage. The company has secured contracts with leading US utilities and is ramping high-volume manufacturing at its West Virginia facility.
As Senior Analyst, Manufacturing Finance, you will be a core member of the Finance team responsible for planning and executing the manufacturing ramp from R&D through GW-scale production. You will work closely with Manufacturing Operations and Advanced Manufacturing teams to develop detailed financial plans for each production line.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop high-fidelity equipment capex budgets aligned with manufacturing processes and hardware design; influence equipment decisions to maximize ROI and minimize assembly costs.
- Partner with Manufacturing Operations and Advanced Manufacturing to project detailed labor and overhead cost-down pathways; lead manufacturing headcount planning and coordinate with HR on hiring ramps.
- Perform in-depth analysis on manufacturing capex and labor/overhead costs to inform the manufacturing roadmap, including make-vs-buy and hardware design considerations.
- Work with Manufacturing Operations, Accounting, and Software teams to identify key data integrations between MES and ERP systems for accurate labor cost recognition, inventory tracking, and fixed asset recording.
- Identify and track KPIs to measure financial and operational performance of each manufacturing line and process.
You bring 3–5 years of finance or consulting experience, with preference for 2–4 years in industrial manufacturing environments. You have expert-level Excel skills, preferably Oracle experience, and demonstrated ability to distill large datasets into actionable insights. You are comfortable with uncertainty, passionate about climate impact, and skilled at cross-functional collaboration.
The role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV (near Pittsburgh), a 550,000-square-foot high-volume battery production facility. Relocation assistance is available. This is an in-office role at a critical moment in the company's scaling trajectory.
