Lightspeed Commerce is seeking a Senior Analyst, Internal Audit to join their Finance team in Montreal. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Audit, you will lead and execute all phases of internal audit engagements across operational, financial, and compliance areas, ensuring adherence to professional standards set by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Key responsibilities include conducting deep-dive analysis to proactively identify risks and critical control gaps across the organization. You will lead complex audit fieldwork from planning through execution and reporting, performing robust risk assessments using the COSO framework. You'll draft high-quality audit reports detailing findings, risks, and actionable recommendations, then drive implementation of management's corrective actions. Additionally, you'll participate in ad-hoc special projects, investigations, and strategic initiatives as requested by senior leadership or the Audit Committee, and stay current with emerging risks, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
Required qualifications include 3-5+ years of progressive experience in internal audit, external audit, or related risk management/compliance roles, with at least two years specifically in internal audit. You should have strong knowledge of the COSO framework and IIA standards, proven experience leading complex audit engagements, and demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgment with analytical rigor and meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and audit management software is essential. Excellent written and spoken English with strong presentation skills is required.
Highly preferred qualifications include completion or in-progress pursuit of CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) and/or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certifications. Additional valuable experience includes familiarity with AuditBoard, NetSuite, and/or Salesforce; background in high-growth, publicly traded technology companies; fluency in French; and experience with data analytics tools in audit contexts (ACL, IDEA, Alteryx).
