Iambic Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotech company applying AI and machine learning to drug discovery and development, is seeking a Senior Analyst, Corporate FP&A to join its Finance Team in San Diego. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will own financial consolidations and long-range corporate planning while serving as a finance business partner across the organization.
Key responsibilities include managing the consolidation process for budgets and forecasts across Computational, Discovery & Experimental, Clinical & CMC, and G&A functional groups. You will support development of the long-range corporate model that guides strategic planning and capital management, and lead the financial planning process (annual planning cycle, mid-year reforecast, quarterly budget-to-actual meetings) for all G&A groups including Administration, BD & Communications, Facilities, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and IT.
You will develop and maintain robust financial models and budgets to track G&A spending by group and program, provide timely and actionable financial insights to senior leadership, and assist in long-range and scenario planning for corporate growth initiatives. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with the Accounting team on month-end close activities, supporting development of scalable FP&A tools and processes, identifying process improvement opportunities, and performing ad hoc analysis and special projects.
The role is based in Iambic's San Diego headquarters, a brand-new state-of-the-art facility with onsite gym and dining.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline preferred; equivalent work experience considered; MBA or CPA a plus
- 4–6 years of professional FP&A experience, preferably in biotech, pharma, or life sciences; prior investment banking, public accounting, or management consulting experience a plus
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and consolidation processes
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; prior experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or similar) preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to partner effectively across scientific and business teams
- Ability to prioritize, coordinate, and handle multiple projects to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with strong desire to build new processes and tools for a growth-oriented organization
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment
