ShipBob is hiring a Senior AI Product Builder focused on Inventory Optimization. This is a new role within ShipBob's AI Builders job family—a deliberate evolution of product management for the AI-native era.
The core thesis: as AI tools can now generate working code from precise specifications, the bottleneck has shifted from engineering execution to the PM-to-Engineer handoff. AI Builders close that gap by owning the full lifecycle—discovery, specifications, prototypes, and production pull requests—accelerated by an AI-native pod.
In this role, you will:
- Own end-to-end product discovery and problem definition for inventory optimization features
- Write detailed, AI-friendly specifications that enable rapid code generation
- Build and iterate on prototypes yourself, leveraging AI coding tools
- Contribute production-ready code and pull requests alongside your product work
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, data) in a high-trust environment
- Drive tangible results that improve ShipBob's merchant experience and platform capabilities
