In this Senior AI Engineer role, you will architect and implement the next generation of intelligent compliance systems. You'll design frameworks where multiple agents—powered by custom and foundational models—work together to surface, track, and explain compliance flags.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architecting multi-agent systems that integrate foundational LLMs and custom-trained models to power intelligent compliance workflows
- Building and optimizing AI/ML pipelines including model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks
- Ensuring explainability and traceability by building mechanisms for transparent flagging, where every compliance flag is traceable to prior rules, examples, or data assets
- Automating compliance rule translation to transform rules into agent-ready logic paths
- Designing, training, and fine-tuning models to improve compliance accuracy and adaptability using user feedback and outcomes data
- Designing model evaluation and monitoring infrastructure to ensure reliability and auditability across customer deployments
- Collaborating cross-functionally with product engineers, model training engineers, and compliance users to translate complex rules into agent workflows
- Staying current on AI/ML advances and prototyping new techniques for the platform
You are deeply technical and hands-on, with 5+ years of applied ML/AI engineering experience. You have strong knowledge of agent-based architectures and orchestration frameworks, proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices (APIs, microservices, distributed systems), and expertise with ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face. You have substantial LLM experience including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RAG, and evaluation. You understand production ML including model serving, monitoring, A/B testing, and data pipelines. You're customer-outcome oriented, a fast learner at the intersection of AI and domain-specific problems, and a strong collaborator.
Blee has offices in San Francisco and New York and values in-person collaboration. This role requires being based in the Bay Area or NY and willing to come into the office 3 days per week.
