Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations to harness IoT data for actionable insights across physical operations including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.
The Marketing Data and Analytics (MDA) team is integral to Samsara's revenue performance, providing marketing and sales teams with insights, tools, infrastructure, and consultation for data-driven decision-making. This engineering role sits within MDA, collaborating with BI and Data Science teams to transform ambiguous business problems into data products, AI agents, and automation while architecting and maintaining the data infrastructure powering Samsara's marketing operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, build, and operate production AI systems including agent orchestration, tool and API integrations, retrieval pipelines, and evaluation harnesses to ensure reliability and trustworthiness
- Architect and maintain marketing databases, datasets, pipelines, and Samsara's Customer Data Platform (CDP) to enable advanced segmentation, targeting, automation, and analytics
- Partner with the BI team to expand conversational analytics across the marketing organization
- Identify and automate manual workflows with AI, moving ideas from concept through prototype to production, delivering efficiency gains across marketing and go-to-market teams
- Stand up new data pipelines end-to-end, often for recently onboarded tools, discovering schemas, collaborating with internal and vendor partners, processing data, and integrating into downstream systems
