Solaris, Europe's leading embedded finance platform and fully licensed German bank, is seeking a Senior AFC (Anti-Financial Crime) Advisory Manager to join its Frankfurt banking operations hub. This role combines governance leadership, compliance advisory, and quality assurance across Solaris's Banking-as-a-Service ecosystem.
You will serve as the AFC Governance lead, responsible for quality assurance and continuous advisory on product enhancements for existing cooperation partners across business units. Key responsibilities include supporting onboarding of new cooperation partners and products, conducting Third Party Risk Assessments (TPRA) and Modification of Operational Processes and Structure (MOPS) evaluations, and preparing/implementing training courses.
You will monitor cooperation partner performance on AFC compliance issues, coordinate with partner managers, extend process documentation, and provide instruction and professional support to employees and partners. The role includes coordination of BaFin (German financial regulator) requests and internal/external auditor engagement, as well as preparation of Annual AFC Reports and German Executive Committee governance documentation.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of anti-financial crime compliance experience within financial services, with deep expertise in German and EU AML/sanctions/fraud prevention regulations. You should have a proven track record leading AFC initiatives including risk assessments, policy development, and control implementation. Experience with local regulators, professional certifications (CAMS/ACAMS), and understanding of AI-driven solutions are valued. Fluency in English and German is required, along with strong analytical skills, ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements, and excellent stakeholder engagement capabilities.
