Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accounting Manager will own the complete close process, lead technical accounting, and build systems and controls to support global-scale operations. This is a high-impact role in a fast-moving company that trades high volume and operates at the intersection of crypto and traditional finance.
Key responsibilities include: owning monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes under US GAAP; researching and documenting technical accounting positions in complex areas (revenue recognition, business combinations, internal-use software); leading financial reporting and external audits; building internal controls frameworks; managing intercompany accounting and consolidated financials across domestic and international entities; scoping and implementing accounting systems (ERP, automation); partnering with legal, product, and business development on new initiatives; and defining accounting policies for crypto-native platform activity.
Required qualifications: active CPA license; 8–10+ years progressive accounting experience with exposure to high-growth private and public companies; 3+ years Big 4 public accounting experience (strongly preferred); deep technical GAAP knowledge with ability to research complex topics and communicate to non-accounting audiences; experience leading close processes in high-transaction-volume environments; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; comfort with modern finance tools (Ramp, Brex, modern ERP); strong Excel skills including model building.
Preferred: direct crypto accounting or digital asset platform experience; SQL skills or willingness to learn; international accounting, multi-entity consolidation, or M&A transaction experience.
