Method Financial is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to architect and own the order-to-cash motion that underpins the company's revenue integrity. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will take full end-to-end ownership of invoicing and revenue recognition—work that carries meaningful complexity and will grow as the business scales. Beyond core accounting operations, you will build and own the accounting operations layer, taking full ownership of Method's accounting contractors and turning that oversight into an efficient, fully owned function. You will bring genuine technical accounting judgment to the table, researching and helping shape policy, and ensuring data follows through on that policy. Key responsibilities include: owning order-to-cash end-to-end (invoicing, process design, daily execution, and continuous improvement); driving technical accounting (researching standards, assisting in writing and refining policy on topics like commissions and capitalized software, updating underlying data); creating standardized processes (finding answers, implementing, documenting, and proactively identifying infrastructure improvements); serving as the accounting point of contact for finance and cross-functional stakeholders; and growing with the role to take on broader accounting ownership as Method scales. Method has built the most modern way to connect to consumer financial accounts, combining real-time liability connectivity with instant payment execution. The company has helped 45+ million users connect 350+ million liability accounts and processed over $2.5B in payments. One in every three credit cards in the United States is in the Method ecosystem, with leading financial institutions like SoFi, Bilt, Cleo, Sezzle, Figure, and Aven relying on Method's APIs. The team of 50+ people is spread across offices in Austin, SF, NYC, and Washington D.C., backed by investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Emergence Capital, Y Combinator, Avra, and Ardent. This is not a role where you execute within a well-designed system. Method moves fast and does not always hand you clean inputs, so you will build systems as you go and find answers no textbook provides. The people who thrive here come from environments where they had to figure things out for themselves.
