The Senior Accounting & Finance Data Analyst is the analytics owner for Tala's accounting and finance reporting function across all markets (Philippines, Kenya, Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Vietnam, Dominican Republic, India). This role owns the queries, data logic, and documentation behind monthly close reporting, statutory and tax reporting, and external audit support—work where correctness and traceability are critical because outputs feed statutory filings and Big-4 audits.
Unlike standard product analyst roles, this position requires deep accounting and audit domain context. The immediate mandate includes: stabilizing and fully documenting a currently under-documented reporting estate; ensuring continuity through the 2026 external audit cycle; and migrating reporting onto governed, version-controlled infrastructure (Presentation Layer/dbt) while moving the function toward self-serve analytics.
The role partners daily with the Controllership/Accounting team and closely with Analytics Engineering. You will be responsible for ensuring data quality, traceability, and compliance across a complex multi-market financial reporting infrastructure. This is a high-impact position where attention to detail and domain expertise directly support the company's regulatory obligations and audit readiness.
