Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The company develops Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that integrates thousands of data streams into a real-time 3D command and control center, bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking to military applications.
This Senior Accountant role supports Anduril's long-lived asset accounting function, including property, plant and equipment, leases, and intangibles. The Accounting team owns the month-end close and reporting infrastructure for one of the fastest-scaling companies in defense. This is a build-focused position rather than a maintain role: the company is preparing for potential IPO, expanding rapidly, and integrating acquired businesses, so you will help establish the processes, systems, and controls this function will run on for years to come.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end accounting for long-lived assets: property, plant and equipment, leases, and intangibles, including fixed asset and lease subledgers, depreciation and amortization, additions, transfers, disposals, and monthly roll-forwards
- Serve as key point of contact for Anduril's capitalization policy, advising program, engineering, and operations teams on capitalize-versus-expense treatment and reviewing capital spend requests for policy compliance
- Execute capitalization of software assets in alignment with ASC 350
- Prepare footnotes, disclosures, and supporting schedules for long-lived asset accounts to support financial reporting
- Prepare financial reconciliations timely and research and resolve variances
- Help implement new systems or improve efficiencies with current systems to support company and team growth
- Contribute to the control environment by establishing, improving, and maintaining operational processes over long-lived assets
- Demonstrate a "no job too small" mentality, be curious and helpful to others
The ideal candidate will be comfortable moving at an incredibly fast pace in a hyper-growth environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Fixed asset accounting experience required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Highly detail-oriented with strong experience in Excel, ERP systems, and US GAAP
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a high-growth organization
- Able to get hands dirty to drive organizational change while maintaining ability to manage up against strategic priorities and reporting
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPA (active or inactive) and/or MBA
- Prior experience in tech or advanced manufacturing companies
- Working knowledge of long-lived asset standards: ASC 360 (property, plant and equipment; impairment), ASC 842 (leases), and ASC 350 (intangibles and internal-use software)
- Healthy mix of technical accounting and operational accounting experience
