Booksy is a rapidly scaling, international cloud-based marketplace connecting independent business owners with customers, with operations across 6 countries. The finance team is undergoing significant transformation, implementing modern consolidation platforms, transitioning to US GAAP reporting, and strengthening internal controls.
As Senior Accountant for Group Reporting, you will drive independent group reporting operations and work closely with the Senior Accounting Manager. This is a dynamic "build" role focused on establishing robust processes as the group structure matures.
Key responsibilities include:
**Group Consolidation & Intercompany Management:** Execute monthly consolidation processes, prepare elimination entries, manage foreign exchange translation and cumulative translation adjustments (CTA). Administer and configure the group consolidation tool. Calculate recurring intercompany charges (IP/development recharges, group funding, interest, service fees) aligned with transfer pricing policies, transitioning this work in-house from external advisors. Maintain a comprehensive intercompany transaction register.
**Financial Reporting:** Prepare lender reporting packages, compliance covenant schedules, Group US GAAP financial statements, footnote disclosure packages, and annual financial disclosure checklists. Review trial balance submissions for key international entities (South Africa, Mexico, Brazil), ensuring proper mapping to group chart of accounts.
**Controls & Compliance:** Collect internal control evidence, track management letter recommendations, coordinate audit deliverables, and oversee share-based compensation schedules and valuations.
**Supporting Functions:** Provide backup support for daily cash positioning and liquidity forecasting; assist Statutory Reporting Manager during peak cycles.
The company operates on a remote-first model with office access available depending on market; you must be based in Poland.
**Requirements:**
- 4+ years hands-on accounting experience with proven expertise in multi-entity group consolidations
- Recognized professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
- Strong practical knowledge of US GAAP, including foreign currency translation and intercompany eliminations
- Advanced Excel proficiency and comfort managing large, complex datasets
- Resilience, problem-solving mindset, and strong interest in software/AI automation
- Proficiency in spoken and written English for daily communication across international markets and external partners
**Nice-to-have:**
- Big 4 or top-tier audit background with deep expertise in full-cycle financial reporting, intercompany recharges, and cost-plus transfer pricing
- Hands-on experience leading or configuring new ERP and consolidation system implementations in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments
- Proven track record managing distributed financial operations, including external bookkeeping providers and regional accounting partners
