Salary: USD 99,000 - 130,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology, autonomy, AI, and computer vision. The company is scaling rapidly, integrating acquired businesses, and preparing for potential IPO.
You will own assigned general ledger account areas through the full close cycle, preparing journal entries, accruals, and flux analyses on the close calendar. You'll prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, researching and resolving variances as needed. A key focus is building SOX-ready process narratives, flowcharts, and key control descriptions across assigned process areas in support of public company readiness.
You will execute and evidence internal controls, including review and approval of journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance. You'll support the design and implementation of new internal controls as the company scales, identifying gaps and recommending improvements. Additional responsibilities include preparing footnotes, disclosures, and supporting schedules for financial reporting; assisting with external audit requests by preparing PBC schedules, supporting walkthroughs, and drafting technical accounting memos; and helping implement new systems or improve efficiencies with current systems.
You'll partner cross-functionally with other accounting sub-teams, FP&A, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting. This is a build seat more than a maintain seat—you will help set the processes, systems, and controls this function runs on for years. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving at an incredibly fast pace in a hyper-growth environment.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- General ledger accounting and month-end close process experience required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Highly detail-oriented with strong experience in Excel, ERP systems, and US GAAP
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a high-growth organization
- Able to get hands dirty to drive organizational change while maintaining ability to manage up against strategic priorities and reporting
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- CPA (active or inactive) and/or MBA
- Prior experience in tech or advanced manufacturing companies
- Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls documentation, or public company readiness
- Healthy mix of technical accounting and operational accounting
