Yugabyte is seeking a Senior Accountant to own critical financial close processes and cash management for the company behind YugabyteDB, an AI-ready, distributed PostgreSQL database trusted by industry leaders including Shopify, Paramount+, GM, Kroger, and Fiserv. The role is fully remote and based in the US.
You will be responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries for accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, leases, accounts payable, and credit cards. You'll perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances promptly. The role involves supporting multi-currency accounting, FX revaluation, and consolidation activities.
Key responsibilities include preparing flux analyses and supporting monthly financial statement preparation, maintaining the chart of accounts in compliance with US GAAP, and serving as a key point of contact for annual financial statement audits and tax provision work. You'll document and strengthen internal controls and close procedures with an eye toward SOX readiness, and identify opportunities to drive process improvements and automation in ERP and close tools.
Cash management is a significant component: you'll manage daily cash positioning across all global entities and accounts, execute and approve wire transfers and intercompany funding under established controls, and record and reconcile cash and investment activities including interest income and bank fees. You'll also support state and federal compliance matters.
