Range is an AI-powered wealth management platform backed by Google's Gradient Ventures, Cathay Innovation, and Scale Venture Partners. The company is transforming financial services by combining cutting-edge technology with human expertise to help members manage investments, taxes, retirement planning, and estate management through a unified platform.
As Senior Accountant, you'll own the full mechanics of the monthly close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and trial balance preparation. You'll manage AP, AR, and payroll operations end-to-end—vendor onboarding, coding, approval routing, billing-to-cash reconciliation, and payroll booking with minimal oversight. You'll drive day-to-day revenue recognition under ASC 606, handling revenue, variable consideration, and contract modifications while partnering with the Controller on technical positions for non-routine transactions.
You'll prepare financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) with detailed reconciliations and variance analysis for leadership and board reporting. A key part of this role is partnering with the Controller and VP of Finance to build AI-driven automations (Claude, MCP integrations) that transform manual accounting workflows into reliable, auditable, code-verified processes. You'll also play a hands-on role in the company's ERP migration, supporting system selection, data migration, and integration of finance tools.
Ideal candidates have 4+ years of progressive accounting experience blending public accounting (Big 4 or similar) with in-house or startup roles. An active CPA license is strongly preferred. You'll need strong US GAAP knowledge, hands-on ASC 606 experience, and a builder's mindset—reaching for automation and code-verified work over manual spreadsheets. Familiarity with AI tooling, SQL, or light scripting is a plus. Financial services experience is valuable; wealth management or RIA experience is especially preferred. Familiarity with Stripe and Ramp is a bonus. You're resourceful, self-directed, able to research technical accounting questions independently, and comfortable with ambiguity.
