Lendable is a UK unicorn fintech company on a mission to rebuild consumer finance products (loans, credit cards, car finance) with modern technology. You will join the management accounts and controllership function, a team responsible for delivering the monthly close for UK group companies and ensuring accuracy of financial reporting. This is a hands-on role focused on real deliverables and process improvement within the Financial Reporting team. Key responsibilities: - Deliver monthly close for UK group companies accurately and within set timelines - Partner with finance team and business stakeholders to prepare product-level P&Ls supporting commercial decision-making - Own and automate balance sheet reconciliations month-on-month, identifying and investigating variances and unusual data trends - Assist with preparation of consolidated balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statements - Work with high volumes of data from multiple sources, compiling, consolidating, and reconciling for month-end reports - Support continuous improvement of financial controls and policies - Assist with annual audit preparation, including supporting schedules and auditor queries The role suits someone who is meticulous, deadline-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-transaction-volume environment. You should have a collaborative, hands-on style and be comfortable supporting continuous process improvement rather than operating static processes. Requirements: - Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 0-2 years post-qualification experience (PQE) - Working knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS - Exposure to US GAAP beneficial given group's US operations - Strong Excel skills for high-volume ledger and reconciliation work - Meticulous and deadline-driven mindset suited to fast-paced environment - Collaborative, hands-on working style - Comfortable supporting continuous improvement of financial controls and policies
