Helsing is an AI-enabled defense technology company protecting democracies. As Senior Accountant, you will be instrumental in building and growing Helsing's US accounting organization from the ground up, partnering closely with the Director of Finance to develop and execute accounting workflows that deliver timely, auditable, and accurate financial records.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the US accounting function
- Manage inventory control and cost accounting for US manufacturing facilities
- Prepare journal entries, review ledger postings for accuracy and completeness, and maintain the general ledger and sub-ledgers
- Perform key aspects of the monthly close process including balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis
- Support external audit and due diligence requests
This role offers high visibility to US leadership and a critical role in enabling key business operations. You will work across teams throughout the business and help establish accounting best practices as the organization scales. The position is based in Martinsburg, WV (preferred) or Washington, DC.
