Salary: GBP 49,000 - 70,000 / annual
Taskrabbit is a marketplace platform connecting people with Taskers for home services like furniture assembly, handyman work, and moving help. This Senior Accountant role is based in London (hybrid, 2 days/week in-office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays) and reports into the Finance team.
You will oversee the organization's core disbursement accounting processes and international statutory accounting, managing an offshore team of 3 contractors. Key responsibilities include:
**Team & Process Management:**
- Supervise and direct the offshore accounting team's daily activities
- Oversee the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle: vendor file maintenance, invoice receipt/coding, payment disbursement, monthly accruals, and reconciliations
- Manage end-to-end employee expense reporting and reimbursement, ensuring T&E policy compliance
- Serve as primary point of contact for AP and expense-related inquiries via Slack and email
- Ensure statutory accounting compliance for Poland and UK entities in collaboration with external accountants and auditors
**Accounting & Reconciliation:**
- Own reconciliation of disbursement-related accounts: prepaid expenses, prepaid rent, fixed assets, intangible assets, accumulated depreciation, lease accounts, A/P, accrued expenses, and accrued litigation
- Manage the fixed asset lifecycle including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and reconciliation
- Account for intangible assets, amortization, and software capitalization per GAAP/IFRS standards
- Contribute to month-end and quarter-end close processes
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years progressive accounting experience including AP supervisory experience
- Knowledge of UK and Polish accounting principles
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to work independently in fast-paced environment
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- ICAEW ACA, ACCA, or CPA certification
- Big 4 experience
- Technology company background
- Netsuite, Ramp, Tipalti, and Slack system knowledge
