Salary: USD 115,000 - 120,000 / annual
Cypress is a leading developer testing platform used by hundreds of thousands of developers across 90+ countries and 30,000+ organizations. The company is seeking a Senior Accountant with 5–7 years of experience to join its finance team in a high-ownership role at a growing SaaS company.
You will own or co-own a significant portion of the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. You'll help oversee the quote-to-cash process, including revenue accounting and operating within the CRM and billing systems to support monthly reconciliation and reporting. You'll maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting, while identifying opportunities to improve close efficiency and reduce cycle time.
In the compliance and audit domain, you'll support the annual audit process by preparing schedules, workpapers, and PBC requests. You'll assist with tax compliance deliverables and coordination with external advisors, and help ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
You'll participate in and help drive system implementation and improvement projects within the finance tech stack, partnering with the Controller and broader finance team to test and deploy AI-enabled workflows. You'll also help manage the billing/deal desk queue by reviewing, validating, and processing incoming deal requests, performing reconciliations between the billing system (Chargebee) and CRM (Salesforce), and collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Data to ensure billing and revenue recognition are correctly captured.
The ideal candidate has a public accounting background (Big 4, regional firm, or similar) and familiarity with SaaS revenue recognition concepts (ASC 606). A CPA license or active CPA candidacy is a meaningful plus. You should have hands-on experience with Chargebee, comfort navigating Salesforce, and proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets. You're a self-starter with strong attention to detail, process-oriented mindset, and ownership mentality. You're comfortable operating in a fast-moving SaaS environment with evolving tools and priorities, and you have genuine curiosity about AI and automation in finance.
