Morning Consult is a global decision intelligence company that pairs proprietary high-frequency data with applied artificial intelligence to help leaders make smarter decisions. You will join the newly formed Account Management team as a Senior Account Manager, owning a small portfolio of the company's largest, most strategic accounts—globally recognized brands across technology, financial services, media, retail, and beyond. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting and aggressively growing revenue from high-value, strategic accounts through proactive relationship development, multi-threaded stakeholder engagement, and disciplined commercial execution. Renewals form the foundation of your responsibilities, with strategic growth expected on top. You will think like an owner, operate with urgency, and bring executive presence to engage C-suite decision-makers at world-class organizations. Key responsibilities include: owning a focused portfolio of high-value strategic accounts with a mandate to grow them through expansion and multi-department penetration; building deep, multi-threaded relationships with senior stakeholders including C-suite executives; acting as the primary point of contact throughout the contract renewal process, addressing concerns proactively and delivering on-time renewals; identifying and closing upsell and cross-sell opportunities by staying close to client business priorities; preparing and delivering renewal proposals, contracts, and executive-level presentations; collaborating with Client Strategy, Sales, Product, BizOps, Legal, and Finance to surface and close expansion opportunities; utilizing CRM software to track interactions, forecast renewals, and maintain accurate records; staying informed about industry trends and competitive landscape; monitoring customer usage and engagement metrics to identify risks and opportunities; and traveling up to 30% of the time to visit clients, attend industry events, and collaborate across offices. You will work closely with the Director of Account Management and Client Strategists, who are product experts focused on increasing client engagement, value, and satisfaction. This is the first team of its kind at Morning Consult, so you'll help set the standard for how the team operates and directly contribute to overall retention and growth. The company offers office locations in Washington, DC; New York, NY; and Chicago, IL, with catered lunch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, or the option to work fully remotely. All offices are accessible by public transportation and located near restaurants and shopping. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience - 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic account management, enterprise sales, or contract renewal management, preferably at a data, research, or technology company (DaaS background strongly preferred over traditional SaaS) - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding renewal revenue targets in a B2B environment, with clear examples of upsells, expansions, and multi-year deals you owned and closed - Experience managing and growing relationships with Fortune 500 clients and senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives; ability to command a boardroom conversation - Executive presence: polished, professional communication style in writing, on video, and in person - Sales mindset: you think of your work as sales, not account administration; goal-driven, proactive, and motivated by closing - Scrappiness and adaptability; experience in smaller companies or high-growth environments is a plus - Strong organizational skills, territory management, and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple complex accounts and priorities simultaneously - Experience with CRM software (bonus for Salesforce CPQ) - Intellectual curiosity: you follow the news, understand your clients' industries, and are excited by the intersection of data and business strategy - Willingness to take feedback, learn, and grow with a continuous self-improvement ethos
