Mixpanel is the leading product intelligence and analytics platform trusted by 29,000+ companies. The company is building a vertical go-to-market motion, organizing enterprise sales by industry to sell in the buyer's language with industry-specific use cases and proof points.
This Senior Account Executive role focuses on net-new enterprise logos and expansion within an assigned industry vertical across North American markets. You will own full-cycle enterprise sales from first meeting to close, running deals using MEDDPICC or Mixpanel's chosen methodology. Beyond your own territory, you'll build deep vertical expertise and shape the team's playbooks—discovery questions, messaging, competitive positioning—feeding field learnings back into repeatable processes.
Key responsibilities include: driving net-new enterprise pipeline within your vertical through sourcing, qualifying, and closing new customers; driving expansion alongside Renewal Managers and Customer Value Managers; running full-cycle enterprise sales with accurate forecasting; learning vertical language, buyer personas, and use cases; refining vertical playbooks based on field intelligence; asking credible technical discovery questions about data, analytics maturity, and existing tooling; partnering with Sales Engineering on technical validation; maintaining accurate SFDC pipeline data; collaborating with Marketing and Product Marketing on vertical messaging; providing signals (deal volume, win rates, competitive patterns) to support vertical maturation; and partnering with Enablement on vertical fluency training.
You should have a strong track record of full-cycle sales success from net-new acquisition to expansion in SMB-to-enterprise SaaS; experience selling into a specific industry vertical or demonstrated ability to build vertical fluency quickly; comfort operating in ambiguity and building processes in real time; strong discovery and qualification skills with MEDDPICC or similar methodology; experience with analytics, data, or technical products with credible technical discovery ability; direct communication that builds trust with business and technical stakeholders; and a track record of turning field learnings into repeatable playbooks. Bonus experience includes partnering with Sales Engineering, shaping go-to-market strategy, mentoring peers, and advanced SFDC/forecasting proficiency.
